May 20, 2006 Workday at Fort Washington

Chapter volunteers returned to Ft Washington Lighthouse to continue their maintenance and preservation efforts. With a limited supply of lumber, volunteers focused on interior work including cleaning and painting. A crew also ventured into the tower to scrap and paint around the bell.

Sound like fun? The Chapter's next workday at Ft Washington is scheduled for June 17, 2006. To learn more about the Chapter's Volunteer Program, visit the Volunteer page on this site.

If you are ever in doubt about a date for a Chapter event, check out the calendar on the web site.
