March 18 - 19, 2006 Workdays at Chincoteague

Chapter volunteers were to returned to Assateague to continue their preservation and restoration efforts. However, problems with supplies, contracts, etc. made for a change in plans. Instead of Coast Guard or lighthouse duties and chores, volunteers lent a hand to the Park Service and Fish and Wildlife by clearing trails and weather-proofing signs.

Sound like fun? The Chapter's next workday at Assateague Coast Guard Station is scheduled for October 21 - 22, 2006. To learn more about the Chapter's Volunteer Program, visit the Volunteer page on this site.

If you are ever in doubt about a date for a Chapter event, check out the calendar on the web site.
