Photo by Herb Von GoerresLighthouse Vacation Destinations Windswept beaches, pounding surf, the lonely cry of a gull – sound like the perfect vacation spot? Prefer watching whales or seals, perhaps hiking high cliffs instead? Or would you rather greet visitors and talk about lighthouse life and hardships? Then you may just want to book a stay at one of the many lighthouses around the world that offer overnight and weeklong stays. TPS Tours for Chapter Members The Chapter and the Annapolis Maritime Museum will be starting limited public tours of the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse this spring. The Chapter intends on offering special tours for our Chapter members before the public opening, but the dates cannot be solidified yet. Please check here at the Chapter website, the TPS website or our e-newsletters for information about these special tours in the spring! Maine Coast Windjammer Cruise Two cruises are offered this summer; a four-day cruise beginning June 2nd and a six-day cruise beginning September 5th. These cruises will give you the opportunity to turn back the clock and see lighthouses from a pure sail vessel as the coastal mariners did 100 years ago.
